Jose is a boy with autism. He enjoys playing with toys like any other child, but certain superheroes are his favorite. Can you guess which ones? He also has many other favorite things to do and will take you on a journey of his life! Unfortunately, most people do not fully understand autism. So many different things come with autism, and someone that does not interact much with individuals with autism may not fully understand them well. This illustrated children's book helps teach and tell these things with simple wording while understanding Jose's likes and dislikes, including what has helped Jose and his parents over the years. In addition, it allows other children to learn about autism and their behavior.

People with autism are often misunderstood. The focus of this book is to provide information to children and families about the characteristics of autism and how behavior can be different than normal behavior. For example, even though Jose likes to entertain with toys and keep himself busy, he may not always have the same awareness or ability to express himself. Yet, Jose is a loving child that wants to play and grow like any other, and through his story, we hope to help educate the world about autism and be more aware.
