Osmocote® Smart-Release® Plant Food Flower & Vegetable offers a high total nutrient content formula (14-14-14). This formula is favored for seasonal vegetables and perennials because it promotes strong roots as well as bountiful and vigorous above-ground growth. Each granule is coated with a unique resin that controls nutritional release utilizing the natural principle of osmosis. Activated by soil temperature, it releases at relatively low temperatures thereby giving plants an early start. Suggested usage: tomatoes and peppers, carrots/onions/corn, melons and berries, beds and borders, young trees and shrubs, bedding transplants and bulbs. Available in 2 lb. bottles, 4.5 lb. shaker bottles with handle, and 8 lb. bags. A 2 lb. bottle feeds up to 80 sq. ft. A 4.5 lb. shaker bottle feeds up to 180 sq. ft. An 8 lb. bag feeds up to 320 sq. ft. For easy application, a spoon is included in the 2 lb. bottle and a scoop is included in the 8 lb. bag.
- OSMOCOTE’S HIGHEST TOTAL NUTRIENT FORMULA: NPK = 14-14-14. Favored for seasonal vegetables and perennials. Promotes strong roots as well as vigorous and bountiful above-ground growth.
- OSMOCOTE’S DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1 lb. covers 40 sq. ft. (approx. 6½’ x 6½’). Mix into 1 – 3” of soil. Applicator included. Apply to vegetable gardens and mulched areas around ornamental trees / shrubs, and raised beds.
