Winsor & Newton Artists' Aerosol Picture Varnish, 14 oz., Matte

I paint miniatures for wargaming and display primarily using acrylic paints. I've tried a number of matte varnishes and this is hands down the best I have ever tried. It creates a smooth unifying and durable finish. You can paint between coats without issue. I normally use a coat when the model is mostly done, and a second after all finishing touches are done. It is far less prone to creating an unwanted frosting effect compared to to other varnishes l have tried. It does take some time to dry fully but otherwise is pretty close to the perfect varnish for my purposes.
