I normally wear a 12 or 14 depending on stretch. I have a middle aged round belly and weigh 169 with not so heavy legs. 14 worked for me. At 5'4" they are long so I cuffed them. Enough stretch to not fall down too bad. At my weight, jeans that stretch out as the day progresses is the price I have to pay. :)
