This candle topper helps keep most of the outside air getting into the jar which helps calm the flame. There is less smoke escaping, and it really does help the candle burn evenly all the way around.

The topper is the wrong size. The description says it is 3.94 inches in diameter. It is 3.25 inches. Tongina sent an e-mail about not receiving the topper. They are confused. Never heard back from anybody after I chatted with the Walmart chat the 2nd time.
