The enclosure works as expected. Everything you need is supplied, including the screwdriver. Assembly is required - and there is one point not clearly expained in the instructions. You will need to fiddle with small screws (2 of them). The screw that mounts to the far end of the drive does so through a small washer/spacer. Here is the part not well spelled out in the instructions: the spacer has a groove in it You are to place that groove over the notch in the end of the drive circuit board for the screw hole. The instruction do tell you which end of the collar goes up - follow that closely. Also one more thing - on the back side of the tray assembly, there is an 'L' shaped piece of plastic as part of the caddy. The short end of the 'L' is against the bottom of the drive, and the whole L tab is meant to act as a spring. This is important, as there is a strip thermally conductive pad that goes against the top of the drive. Once assembled, the spring tension pushes the drive and its thermal pad against the aluminum housing. This allows the housing of the drive to act as a radiator or heat sink to help the drive dissipate heat and avoid over heating. NOTE - the tab is too long and it was impossible for me to slide the caddy into the aluminum housing without excessive pressure and the risk of cracking the circuit board. So I used narrow pliers to pry the short end of the L out from 90 degrees to about 120 degrees so it would not push so hard against the circuit board. Even then it was a snug fit - but it went in and worked fine. Overall very pleased, other than I wish it had a simpler assembly, and the spring mechanism needs to be re-engineered so as to avoid the excessive pressure on the drive that would occur without being modified. Well built, fast interface.
