Cons: The brake is way too weak. You need to know how to thumb the reel to prevent backlashing. There is occasionally some play when engaging the reel after casting. Pros: If you know how to control spool speed with your thumb it casts like a dream. I've easily thrown 5oz over 90 yards using 50lb braid and an 11 foot rod. Line intake is a bit slow but the low gearing gives the reel the power to winch good sized fish in. Didn't have any issues at all bringing in a 35lb blue cat. have been using it for 2 months now and it hasn't had a hiccup. Well worth the money.
