"The Sausage Maker" Pickling Spice

Disclosure: I'm not a pickling expert. Thus far, I have only used the "The Sausage Maker" blend of spices in a recipe for pickled eggs. It worked very well for that. The pickled eggs taste great! I'm looking forward to using this blend for pickling other foods. Before using the pickling spice I chopped the dried red peppers in the mix into smaller pieces to distribute them more widely throughout the blend. It probably wasn't necessary, but I wanted to make sure that at least some on the dried red peppers were included in each measure.
