loved, loved, loved this book. funny enough i started reading it twice, the first time was a dead connection and the second time, i couldn't put it down. as a metal fan and musician who plays instruments it was poignant to have a book so heavily focused on both. dürt würk is a legendary band name and i absolutely wish the troglodyte album was something i could actually listen to. if you want to experience a range of emotions from silently understanding a character's perspective because it's been your own before, to some toe-curling claustrophobic horror, this is the book for ya! and who knows it just might turn you into a metalhead as well, as it's impossible not to start internally jamming out to the lyrics that are provided, especially since grady hendrix does a really great job setting up roughly what the songs would sound like. overall another golden egg from a wonderful author
