Once a year we apply this silicone grease to all the weather stripping on our Corvette's. This will protect the weather stripping and help prevent cracking along with reducing those common squeaks that the Corvette seems to have.

Beyond being perfect for your weather stripping, silicone grease is the proper grease for many home and auto projects. In many cases WD-40 is used where silicone grease would be a better long term answer. Example would be for the home window hinges, WD-40 is great in getting the area cleaned up and that old sticky window working again but after it has been applied and used to get all the area clean it should be wiped off and then silicone grease applied. The WD-40 will not give the same protection and will overtime draw in dirt and debris.

Silicone grease resists drawing in dirt and debris and is waterproof. Of all the grease and lubrication options offered it is your cleanest option and will not damage rubber or foam unlike hydrocarbon based greases which overtime will swell and soften them.
