2023 Old Town Sportsman Bigwater PDL 132 Pedal Drive Fishing Kayak

I've owned this PDL for 7 years (this same model was previously called the “Predator” and I've kept that model because I'm absolutely in love with my red kayak!) and I've traveled all over the country with it - and she's kept me upright on all types of water, and even during gnarly weather conditions! The kayak itself is long and somewhat heavy, but the sharp design on the keel allows to it cut through the water like a knife. The bottom of the hull is very sturdy, and isn't easily damaged, even after hundreds of hours on the water. The cockpit and rear storage well are well designed to accommodate [way too much] gear - I'm able to store 4-6 tackle boxes directly under my chair, and 2 in each side pocket on either side of the drive, in addition to my large tackle box I keep in the back. The pedal drive is incredibly easy to take on and off of the kayak, and the dry storage compartment will hold all of your most important items, like your wallet, keys, etc. I've been on the water for 10-12 hours at a time more times then I can remember, and comfort has never been an issue - especially because you can easily stand up to stretch and fish as well! If you're looking to [literally] outrun the competition on a super solid platform - look no further than the BigWater PDL!!

This kayak is extremely stable! Very fast and cuts through the water flawlessly. If you are rolling this kayak then it is your fault for not keeping center of gravity. This kayak is perfect for choppy water and going btb. I personally love it for shallow water sight fishing. I've compared this kayak to many out there and still have not found one better. If you spend enough time in it, to really learn it, you will love it.
