I'm not a pearl expert - the necklace was a present for my wife, who loved it.I would say that the size is more 8mm than 8-8.5mm. Delivery was within a week and packaging was very good.

This was a very nicely packaged set, presentation excellent. While the pearls were alright and decent enough, I was not bowled over by them. I overall liked them and the recipient was pleased to receive them as a Christmas gift.
