WHIRLPOOL WDF550SAHS Quiet Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub

Jul. 6, 2020; Update Whjirlpool Dishwasher: WDT 730PAHZ; Marc Bitzer, CEO whirlpool appliances Dear CEO Marc, [July 6, 20] I am sorry to report that one of your greatest problems, at least in your large appliances division, is very poor quality control and engineering design manufacturing. I am referring to your dishwasher WDT 730PAHZ. 1) The insertion of soap and Finish liquid area needs to be enlarged. For the Finish Dry unit, I needed a magnifying glass because the area was so small, and in addition, it was a dark color—should have been light gray or ivory—seemingly an easy design. I still am unable to figure out the ‘full' designation for the Finish drying unit. Also, mugs and glasses require tilting or it will contain water after 4 hours. My former Hotpoint of fifty (50) years took 20 mins to wash and after one hour or more, everything was dry. And all we had to do was fill the unit, close the door, and press the “on” button. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] American Home Shield contracts with Whirlpool, which is how I actually acquired this dishwasher. In our area, Whirlpool contracts with JB Hunt, which is the company that delivers and installs their dishwashers. This dishwasher is not a one to one replacement for my original dishwasher. It is actually a lot smaller. Additionally, the service that installed the dishwasher, J.B. Hunt, was not thorough in their job. This includes sending us on a wild goose chase for a part that was totally unnecessary. I had to ask American Home Shield to send a plumber just to get the thing operational. As it turned out, all that was needed was for the hose to be screwed on to the faucet.
