If this part is the correct one for your dishwasher and it is leaking from the DOOR this will probably fix it. To know before you spend the money open the door and feel around the perimeter of the gasket **carefully** to see if there are any splits or gaps in the sealing surface. If you find one or more then you're on the right track; your old gasket requires replacement, but keep going because if there's more than one leak source you may want to just scrap the unit instead -- there comes a point where throwing parts at these things isn't worth it. Next, run the machine and look WHERE the water is coming from. It may take several minutes into the cycle before it starts leaking; that's ok. If it's dripping from the *door* (there is a lip on the bottom of the door which the water drips onto from the door/tub joint, then it overflows that and onto the floor) this is probably where the issue is and that, plus a visible deterioration or split, makes for a very high probability of success. One note on installation -- the old one just pulls out of the groove in the tub channel. The new one should be measured to the midpoint (e.g. take it and match the ends, then run your hands to the midpoint with the ends together), which is started right in the center behind the latch plate; do not attempt to start from one corner. Work *one side* in from the center to the corner, then *stretch* the remaining gasket on that side downward before pressing the barbed part into the vertical part of the frame. You want about 1" of "tail" tucked through the slot at the bottom and laying in the bottom of the pan on each side. The gasket HAS TO go all the way to that notch and wrap into the bottom of the pan in order to seal and it will appear to not be long enough if you don't stretch it a bit as you're installing it. That's it -- it takes less than 5 minutes to put it in and if you correctly identify this as the location of the leak it will fix it. Note that if the leak is coming from the BOTTOM of the machine (e.g. behind the kick panel) and NOT dripping from the door then this is almost-certainly NOT the problem. Good luck!
