I bought this because the edge of the screen of my previous Apple Watch would be scratched, and then it would break when I dropped it. This bumper hardly protrudes from the edge of the screen, so if you drop the watch or place it face down, the actual surface of the watch will not touch the surface, and it can prevent the edge of the screen from being scratched. It is really easy to open and close, does not interfere with any controls, and will do what it is supposed to do. I don't want it to protect the face of my watch perfectly, but I like the way it works so far. I have only used white because I like its appearance,
