Something changed and how the sheets are packed or something, but I did not hit little small pieces of the towels before. I don't like whatever changes they may.

They are a little rough and pretty sturdy so they're good for light scrubbing of surfaces. I find they hold up well, you could probably even rinse and reuse if that's your thing!
