This is a fun toy. You can play with it indoors or outdoors. On a rainy day you could play toss the ball. BE creative because there is lots that you can do with this cute toy. It is a nice little party favor. It is so spongy and which makes adds to ease of use. As stated this goes over well for parties. Children enjoy gifts. Who am I kidding we adults do as well. We could use this As a gift it could used as a gag! I don't believe that I noticed a smell. It's a cute toy!
