Saucony Mens Kinvara 9 Sneakers Running Shoes Runners - Vizi Red/Black

The Kinvara 9 has been upgraded with a few small tweaks that are improved from the Kinvara 8 which was my go to shoe for 2017. The changes are subtle but enough in my opinion that if you enjoyed the previous version it is well worth grabbing yourself a pair of the 9's! The Kinvara 9's have shredded off a bit of weight from the previous version, you will find this was compromised in the upper of the shoe, making it a bit more breathable with a sock like fit, what was not removed, however, is the pro lock system used to secure the mid foot, I do not notice this so this is not a concern for me. On the outsole, tri flex groves are placed in similar fashion with harder shanks of rubber placed at the heel of the shoe and near the front. I like this change because it gives the shoe more durability and should last much longer, I've already noticed this improvement as I have logged almost 200k since and just raced a Half in these shoes, I think I can get upwards of 700k on these and this comes from a guy who went through 5 or 6 pairs of the 8's last year, every pair fading around 400-500k mark. The other thing I find is that this shoe is more flexible, the ride is very smooth and makes for quick transitions and allows for freedom of movement. The EVERUN insert is a great bonus, once again, giving the ride some liveliness and a responsive feel. I recommend this shoe to Kinvara fans, I feel Saucony did a great job at changing small details and not going overboard on what I feel was an already excellent shoe in version 8!
