Amazon.com Based on the bestselling Private book series by Kate Brian, this 100-minute film (compiled from the 20-episode web series) is about Reed, a transfer student from a small town who's struggling to fit in with an established clique of privileged girls at an exclusive boarding school. Just weeks into her first semester, Reed finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery that involves her new boyfriend and her fellow housemates. The characters in this drama are full of teen attitude and a healthy sense of entitlement, and, while they're not very appealing to most adults, they seem to fascinate preteen and young teen girls, as does the film's strong feel of exclusivity and almost constant aura of danger and mystery. The film was produced by Bob Levy (Gossip Girls, The Clique, Vampire Diaries) and written for the screen by Veronica Becker and Sarah Kucserka. Kelsey Sanders, Brant Daugherty, Chord Overstreet, Natalie Floyd, Tristin Mays, and Samantha Cope provide the acting talent. While teens aren't likely to learn many life lessons from this film, they'll find it entertaining.
