Red Kap Men's Pleated Twill Slacks

Fabric really stiff upon receipt. Pocket material doubly so. The cut and fit seems pretty good, and the coloration seem appropriate. Not sure if softness would improve with washing nor the coloration reduce, but at the cost vs other options on the market, not sure if washing to soften is worth the gamble. The hem line stitching (to hold the hemmed pant inside the leg) is visible and noticeable; thread color and material are fine, but the stitch itself is larger than expected and wraps around each leg, regardless of pant color (I tried grey and black).
