Tires are almost bulletproof! (Teenage Daughter Driver)

I have had these tires on my teenage daughters car for almost a year. As a tire dealer , I saw the technology and commonsense that was in them. I can't speak to the performance and handling of the Driveguards, because I don't really every remember riding in her car. She has had three situations, two after dark that I would have had to go out to get her off of the side of the road, but each and every time she was able to make it safely to her destination or to my shop. 1. Complete hole puncture in the sidewall. (Bridgestone replaced tire for free because it was inside 1 year and 12000 miles) 2. A nail in tire that had 18 psi when she got to me 30 miles later after her TPSM light came on (We were able to safely and properly repair) 3. Impact break on the bead from a pothole. (Bridgestone replaced tire for free because it was inside 1 yr and 12000 miles) Only complaint is the ease in which the bead suffers damage on a severe impact from a pothole, but my daughter was still able to successfully navigate to a place of safety and I wasn't out on the highway late at night putting a spare on or calling a tow truck as some newer vehicles don't even come with a spare tire. There should be a commercial about my daughters trials with tire trouble just in the past year, but it has had a happy ending each time because of the Driveguard tires. I can not recommend them enough for teenage daughters ,our wives, mothers and sisters, I even put a set on my Volvo. Who wants to change a flat tire?

Incredible Tire!

This tire is a welcome addition to my car and the RFT world. My previous tires were the OEM Continentals and since getting the car, I complained to the dealer of what I perceived as wind noise not to mention road noise. Surprisingly enough, with these tires, what I thought was wind noise is gone and road noise is all but gone (depending on road surface). These tires are a huge leap forward in RFT technology. They handle as good, if not better than the previous tires and they are so much more comfortable and most of all, quiet. I am hugely pleased and impressed in how they have transformed my car.

Completely changed my car

I've had my BMW 328i for 7 years and finally switched to the Driveguards after sticking with the Contiprocontact SSRs it came with. It's completely changed the car. Within the first mile I could tell a huge difference in ride quality and road noise. It's much less harsh and noticeably quieter than the Contis. Once the usual tread squirm went away after the break in period (about 100 miles) I could also tell a huge difference in traction in both dry and wet conditions. I do some spirited driving in the mountains and the grip these tires deliver is miles better than what the car came with. It has grip that inspires confidence and you can really push these much harder than you'd ever expect from a run flat. I'll put it this way... get these tires and you can unlock a lot of potential in your car. It's also much better in the rain, especially at highway speeds. I've put a bit over 6,000 miles on these, including city driving for my commute, a lot of highway miles, and a few trips to some mountain roads. They don't necessarily look brand new but they don't show any signs of wearing out anytime soon. Honestly the only downside is a slight reduction in fuel mileage, but if you care about how your car rides and performs it's a small price to pay. In the weeks following my switch, my MPG decreased from 25.7 to ~25.1. It's now in the mid-24s but there are most likely other factors contributing to that decrease. I don't regret it at all though. So to sum up: these are literally better in every measurable way except for there being a slight drop in MPG. I promise you that it's worth it.
