I bought this in mid June. It's a great design for the price and gets used multiple times a day for smoothies and protein shakes. It comes with a two blade and four blade base that each have a removable rubber seal that makes contact with the cup when it's screwed in. After a month or so, the seal on the four-blade base started to come unseated during use and get pulled into the blades. Once it starts to happen, it keeps happening with increasing frequency so matter how well seated it is or how tightly the cup is screwed on. Unsurprisingly the seal eventually snapped. I stole the seal from the two-blade base for the four-blade one. It worked well for a few weeks but has now begun coming unseated. I will likely shop for a better brand as I expect the seal to snap like the first one any day now. If Starfrit could fix this one issue it'd be the perfect blender for the price.

Spend the extra money!

I recently bought this and was excited because of the cups are designed like shaker cups and they're a bigger portion. I usually make smoothies with frozen fruit, yoghurt and milk. I use this three times and the motor on it blew. It's definitely worth getting a magic bullet or one of the other brands where you know that it won't blow after using it a couple times.

Does not work

If I could give a negative review I would. Does not work unless you lock just the base to the unit, turn the unit upside down and screw it onto the cup. A know issue with product. I can't believe Walmart let it on their shelves
