Zinus Good Design Winner Suzanne 10" Bamboo and Metal Platform Bed, King

Okay, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of what I would receive from this brand. I needed to purchase a budget platform bed frame that I could trust would hold for a few years. After months of looking and researching I found out a few things: 1. Zinus is the ONLY company that makes bed frames at this price point. I've seen other websites post listing for a bed frames under different names but when you review comments and look into the descriptions all of these products originated from Zinus. 2. Zinus has a lot of good reviews, and a scary section of bad reviews especially on Amazon. Clearly there's some inconsistency with the quality control or sending people returned used items. And some of these comments center on the company's customer service. 3. If I was going to purchase a >$200 bed frame it was going to be from Zinus (I could not find another brand selling at this low a price point). Customer service directly from the company had inconsistent results based on reviews so purchasing through another retailer (like Walmart) would make a return easier just in case the frame did not work out. So, I picked this frame off the Zinus website as it fit my needs and style best and was advertised at a winner to a design contest. I then found it being sold a Walmart (cheaper than on the Zinus website) and decided to go for it. And I have to say, this frame was WAY above my expectations for this price point. All the pieces were intact and strong. The frame is heavy but this helps really make the whole thing feel solid and quality. It's not wobbly, the pieces all fit correctly and there were no defects in screw hole placements or missing parts. The most I can complain is a few minor scratches on the main wood panel but this is nitpicking. I put this whole frame together all by myself (as a small adult female with jelly arms) in about 30 minutes. Easy to build, and possible without a second pair of hands. They provided a nice little wrench and an Allen key that worked with all the screws and instructions were simple to follow. I'm also happy to report that the slates used for this bed frame had gaps that were about 3 inches wide meaning making it well within the usual 5-inch gap max for most mattress warranties. I choose not to use the sticker to keep my mattress in place as I didn't want to get glue on the new mattress. Even still my mattress has weight to it and is able to stay in place on the bed even when my dogs jump on and off with no issues. The frame is firm, stable, and feels more expensive than what I paid for it. I have the Walmart protection on it just in case but I don't see any red flags to indicate that I would need this. If you're going to buy this frame, get it here for the added security Walmart provides and the easier return just in case. But really I've fallen in love with this frame and would recommend this to anyone wanting a cheap but modern looking bed frame.
