So well made that it is cushiony and soft. It is handmade, and the work of the artisan who made this is appreciated. The natural fibers are knit tightly, and the backing is professionally made. Honestly, this is the best area rug I have ever seen. It is a wool/cotton blend. This area rug is meant to last for many years. It can easily last generations. I am extremely happy with this. I would recommend Town & Country TERRA rugs.
