This Oscar Schmidt is good quality at an affordable price. Anyone with experience would be impressed with the value for the money. For under $100, this is very well done. It's all mahogany laminate. You can't even touch solid woods for twice this price. But it's very good laminate with exceptionally pretty grain. It's simply appointed. No body bindings, simple position dots, and adequate open-back tuners that work well. The fingerboard is bound in white and is real rosewood. No sharp edges, perfect seams. precise alignments, good action, solid neck, and it plays easily. It has a well balanced voice with very surprising projection and a legitimate ukulele tone. For those who want a solid, good sounding, easy playing ukulele for a bargain price, the OU-2 is hard to beat.
