Some friends says it looks geeky, other friends beam and say I look super adorable. Either way, hat keeps me dry and warm. Great for AK. I'm in Valdez, AK where precipitation happens. A lot. Wear it while working, sailing, and foraging in the rain. Hat fit a little snug at first but relaxed to a perfect fit. Fits the dome well and doesn't fly off in the wind. Haven't had to use the strap yet, hat has stayed put very well even while sailing. Makes me feel like an old sea dog from the 50s. Definitely not a purchase if you're concerned about fitting in or not sticking out, this isn't the hat. If you're concerned about utility and quality- definitely worth snagging.

Great Waterproof Stylish Hat

A great hat for hard constant rain while driving an open boat fishing in Valdez Alaska. Warm, waterproof and stays on your head at high speed. Tested in 11 inches of rain over 3 weeks. Nice option of ear flaps down or up with a chin strap. I tried my friends last year and bought one this year. Well worth the money. Everyone knows us and our boat with two colors of this hat in the boat, bright yellow and green.
