I have a Great Dane so it may not be much shock to him because he barks through it when the neighbors dogs are out. I think it's because his adrenaline is so high he probably do not care much. At night he does not bark much if at all anymore which was the main issues.

We were pleased with the product. Easy to setup And it has worked. Out little dog barked when the phone rang, whenever I would start to talk to my husband and of course, when someone came to the door. And he wouldn't shut up but with this collar he will bark once it makes the noise and apparently shocks him and he goes over and he lays down and he's quiet. He has stopped the barking when the phone rings and if I start a conversation! Best product I've ever bought. we have it on the lowest setting for the shock.
