ALTRA Women's King MT 1.5 Trail Running Shoe, Black, 7 B(M) US

I hiked all last year in these shoes! (Sometimes I jog on the trail - but I wouldn't call myself a trail-runner!). They have great traction and I was able to adjust the shoe to accommodate whatever socks I needed to wear. The Velcro across the top gave that last little "cinch" in just the right place so my foot felt secure but not "casted". My toes had plenty of room to spread and bending through the big toe joint was unencumbered.

I've been running in the Altra Ones forever, and was told that these shoes would be the comparable trail shoe. Absolutely true! I do a combination of trail running, technical hiking and road running each time I wear these and they easily transition between all three activities. I've probably put about 300 miles on these shoes over the last 6 months and they have held up beautifully. I'm about to buy my 2nd pair, but only because I need a back up available to use when one pair are drying out (I never put mine in the dryer).
