Zebra Pen DelGuard Mechanical Pencil takes away the most common frustration of fine-point mechanical pencils- broken lead. While most mechanical pencils have one spring to advance and stabilize lead, DelGuard's patented double-spring mechanism ensures lead is secured and doesn't break. One spring softens vertical pressure while the other spring absorbs pressure from diagonal writing angles. White barrel is an attractive addition to your pencil cup. A quick click advances lead, eliminating trips to the pencil sharpener. Eraser rests under the cap. For best results, refill with DelGuard Lead Refills in standard #2 HB lead, customary for school work, standardized tests, form completion and sketching. DelGuard Lead Refills are manufactured to have less kinks than other leads to reduce jamming in the dual-spring mechanism. Plastic clip easily attaches to pockets, notebooks and folios. If you need a pencil, seek this one out
I use the pencil to take notes and do exercises from textbooks. The pencil is much more solidly built than the average 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. The "DelGuard" lead writes a bit more smoothly than the competition and I've never had it break. This purchase wasn't to replace a pencil but to be able to give one to my wife.
