Constance the Cowlet, (Paperback)

Constance holds its own with any book in the genre. If you judge it purely by picture book standards, the art is uniquely vivid and so full of perfect details that one can't help but feel the personality of the characters. The story is engaging while also having meter and presentation that are easy and fun to read (and hear). But the real beauty is in the message, and one that is sorely needed in 2020 -- that differences can be appreciated; that home, family, and friends are paramount; and that life in all its beautiful diversity is to be honored and cherished.
