great source of architectural and historical info

The Architectural Legacy of Dharmaraja Ratha (The standpoint from workroom), is written for researchers of ancient architecture of India. The book describes in the most comprehensive way all the historical and architectural details of the Dharmaraja Ratha. It reveals the subtleties of Dravidian architecture within this example of the ancient ratha. For me personally, it was very interesting to learn the explanations of many architectural terms right in this book and I did not need to search for any additional explanation on the Internet. The book has it all. The Architectural Legacy of Dharmaraja Ratha has an excellent glossary and an index with not only architectural terms, but also the terminology of Vedanta used in the book. There are more than 70 photographs and architectural drawings illustrate the essence of the descriptions in the text. This book is a reliable source of information for any researcher. The author is a practicing architect himself and therefore his logical conclusions are not far-fetched, but actually stemming from his practical experience, which makes this book unique. I highly recommend this book for your research or just for deepening your knowledge about Dravidian architecture. I want to go now and see Dharmaraja Ratha in Mahabalipuram again.
