Dependable Food Vanilla Sugar, Kosher & Allergen Free Vanilla Sugar Seasoning in Airtight Container, 10-lb Bulk Jar

-sigh I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews but I HAD to do it for this purchase so I can prevent problems for others as I cannot stress how awful this “vanilla” sugar is. It's like someone took processed white sugar, poured in clear VANILLIN, mixed it, let it dry %26 then ZOOT ZOOT VOILA; “vanilla sugar” fit for the average American slob! While I can't fault Masbia/Dependable Food for how it was boxed %26 delivered, I do fault them for the weird “safety seal” being melted %26 they have to know that this is NOT naturally flavored w/ any grade of vanilla. Do you see any black specks/flakes? No. The scent is lovely, very reminiscent of cotton candy or perfume “vanilla” but the taste is so off %26 it BURNS!!! Our mouths were on fire after we tried it in coffee before I was to make cream puffs %26 all of us had the same reaction. I mixed it w/ regular sugar %26 tried it again %26 it's bearable but this defeats the whole purpose of having vanilla sugar. I'd wanted to use this for gifts to give family %26 friends an Easter/Passover cake/treats but cannot use it w/ a clear conscience. For anyone whom is trying to “eat clean,” or anything remotely healthy, getting fleeced by products like this makes our mission dangerous %26 dang near impossible. I intend on contacting the company that “makes”/distributes this as it's wrong to sell FAKE products as NATURAL %26 while beaver butt gland oil is “natural,” it's not Vanilla. I don't even think this is beaver butt tier “vanillin” used to flavor it. I should've known that $50 for 10lbs of vanilla sugar was too good to be true 😑 Sure wish I'd been more skeptical %26 untrusting of the tempting price. -sigh
