Not only are the chairs beautiful, but they are quite sturdy. The wood on them is gorgeous and the seating is comfortable, not lush if that is what you are looking for. The back of the chairs give good support and the chairs fit up to the counter just right. Putting them together was a moderate task with the first time taking the longest. The others went quickly once I figured out how to do it with only two hands. Having another person would have been helpful to hold some of pieces in place until screws put in. Everything fit well, although the circular foot rest was the most difficult because some of the screws did not go in easily. Would highly recommend and would purchase again.
