I didn't expect much from a desk that was so inexpensive, but it's very good quality. The boards seem sturdy. The bolts won't pull through the wood because there are threaded parts integrated/embedded into them. Easy assembly. Many screws to screw in, but there are only a couple different types so it's not difficult at all to figure out where they go, plus the directions are very clear to understand. You can also assemble it where the shelves go on the right or left of the desktop. Looks nice! There is also lots of room on the bookshelf—more than I expected. Note that the side of each shelf are open so you'll need to use a large book or bookends to keep books from falling off. And if you're putting this right up against a wall, the shelves will not touch the wall—there will be a gap between shelves and wall (and also desktop and wall) so smaller, narrower things could slide between them.
