Best Piano Method I Have Found

I am a piano beginner and purely self taught. The Alfred books are the best I have found so far. The theory helps you understand some of the why in music and the lessons are a nice balance between technique, reading, and fun. I highly recommend these books to anyone trying to learn on their own.
