Superman: Doomsday (DVD)

This movie was surprisingly good. It should have been good because they had great source material. "The Death of Superman" was a story line that I was hoping would become a live action film. But, whatever their reasons, they made it into an animated movie. On its own merits it captured the feel of the comic within a downsized version of the book series. I'm not going to get into the story line because those who read the comics will know and those who haven't read the books won't be let down at all. If I had a movie wish, I wish that they will make "The Death of Superman" into a live action film. I also would like to see Batman versus Bane (not the nonsense with George Clooney or Val Kilmer) as a live action film.

I was riveted. I read the comic books when the series came out, so I couldn't pass up the movie. Everything was amazingly combined. Some differences, but acceptable. Intrigued by the older looking Superman.
