Microwave: in a round 2-quart microwaveable glass casserole dish,combine rice-vermicelli mix And 2 tablespoons Of margarine, butter orspread with no trans fat. Microwave uncovered, at high 1 minute. Stir.Microwave at high 1 To 2 more minute(s) or until vermicelli is goldenbrown. Remove dish From microwave And allow To cool for 1 minute.Caution: dish will be hot. Slowly stir in 2 1/4 cups water And specialseasonings And one 14 1/2 oz can Of tomatoes, undrained, chopped. Coverand microwave, at high 19 To 21 minutes or until rice is tender. Letstand 3 minutes before serving. Range top: in a large skillet, combinerice-vermicelli mix And 2 tablespoons Of margarine, butter or spreadwith no trans fat. Saute over medium heat until vermicelli is goldenbrown, stirring frequently. Slowly stir in 2 cups water, specialseasonings And one 14 1/2 oz. Can Of tomatoes, undrained, chopped; bringto a boil. Cover And reduce heat To low. Simmer 15 To 20 minutes oruntil rice is tender. Or use 2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes or one 16ounce jar salsa, if desired.

I use it for stuffed bell peppers and put a little cheese on top after they get done let it melt and it's good good. I've also made it without stuffing the bell peppers just cutting them up and putting them in with the mix and it's great too.

One of the best of this product line in my opinion. I didn't have canned diced tomato as instructed on box so I put in some chopped fresh tomato and turned out really good. We like this added to burrito's.

Delicious spanish rice.
Rice-a-Roni Spanish rice has great flavor, easy to prepare. I like to add browned ground beef or turkey and some onion and green pepper that I cook in microwave. Makes a good meal. Other brands don't have the same flavor as Rice -a-Roni brand.
