I applied this wood filler in cracks, gouges , and some water damaged wood on my deck. It was pretty easy to apply with a putty knife., but got dried out, crumbly and hard to spread as I worked. The directions say to knead before using. Definitely do that. Also I added a few drops of water %26 keep stirring with a wooden chopstick as I worked %26 this made it so much easier to apply. I let dry, then sanded. It sands smooth easily. Then painted. It works great. It eliminated all the imperfections in the wood. I'm happy with the results.

I mostly use this before painting. It's spread nicely, but you have to knead it, so it dries my hands up a little when I don't wear gloves. I use it when I'm feeling nail holes on outdoor painting projects, like wooden window screens and wooden garage doors. I think it's a high quality product.
