(6 pack) Cugino's Quick Meal Creamy Potato Dried Soup Mix, Lower Sodium and Lower Calories, 5.6 oz Family Size Pouch, Makes 8 Hearty Cups

I read the other 1 Star review. I tried it anyway. I've been having dental work starting on the 3rd week and I am sick of soft food and soup…but I don't have a choice right now. I followed the directions to the letter with these exceptions: I used 5 cups water 1 1/2 cup whole milk 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping Cream 1/3 stick salted REAL Butter Seasoned with black pepper. Didn't do anything else to the ingredients. Set my timer to the exact minutes they suggested. When I fix this again, and I will, I'll probably do 1 cup whole milk and 2 cups of heavy whipping cream. I was very surprised at how good this short cut soup turned out! I actually loved it. I didn't add any cheese or bacon and ate it as is. I actually ate two bowls. Maybe the trick was the heavy whipping cream that made it thick….not at all like just water. I want to see if I can get the texture even mor creamier. The ONLY thing I didn't care for were the tiny little freeze dried potatoes. I did cull them out because I can't chew right now. But I'm definitely adding this as a pantry staple. I'm probably going to try some of their other flavors. But that will be after I finish up my dental work.
