This rug feels great when walking on it in bare feet. My cats love it and if they scratch it to sharpen their nails, the yarn does not come loose. I also bought the same rugs in runner size for my bedroom from another store because I could not find matching runners at Walmart. Also a kitty food stain washed off perfectly.
