Pros: 17" screen makes this worthwhile at this price point. White on black keyboard is better than the silver keyboards on other HP models. For younger folks it may not matter. Win 11 is a recent version, not a lot of update time. Cons: minimal connection ports (2 USB 3.1). No optical drive. Power button oddly placed in the middle of the F keys %26 no tactile indicator. Ryzen CPU/GPU runs hot; fans spin up at weather channel raindrop graphics. That's worrisome for longevity outlook. The usual load of bloatware with McAfee prompts galore. Time will tell if HP has solved the screen hinge issue (flexing breaks the bottom plate pins over time; well documented issue). Other than that, it's perfect for my limited budget.

Unwanted pop ups

I bought this laptop 3 weeks ago and it is fine apart from one annoying problem. It has Mcafee anti virus on it and i keep getting these pop up from them to buy a package from them . The only way i can get rid of the pop ups is to turn the laptop ff and then back on. It is very annoying and intimidating becausr I have no intention in buying anything off them . I have uninstalled the anti virus but it has made no difference. This problem has ruined my enjoyment of a very good laptop

Am I Going Blind?

I have to keep adjusting the tilt of the screen to see the contents ,especially when the background of the screen is dark. Also, the white characters on the black keyboard keyboard are hard to read. Also, I had a hard time verifying my warranty. I got it resolved.
