The mender nut kit (white 3 pack) is a replacement part that was made by Hayward. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.
The mender nut was built to be the object that connects all the parts included in the hose kit like the wall connection to the PVC hose (4 foot) and swivels which then connects to the PVC hose (8 foot). It essentially connects all the parts included in the hose kit and provides the high-pressure water that comes from the booster pump to the cleaner so it can successfully operate.
This part is white and is strategically placed throughout different locations along the hose kit providing a tight and strong bond between this collection of parts. When installing the mender nuts on the ends of the various parts they connect you want the twist adapter facing outwards towards the hoses that they are connecting to so you can twist the mender nuts clockwise until it is tight, creating the bond needed to keep everything connected.
