Great for bedside control!
I have two of these, each on a dual base with a light pico to accompany it. It is the perfect bedside companion to turn my fan on without having to yell at Alexa, and try to remember the EXACT name I gave my fan. Buttons are wonderful, and they don't talk back! The only drawback is the price of the Lutron components.

HOW DID I EVER GET ALONG WITHOUT IT❓
My answer to my question is, I don't know. It is so convenient to be able to control a fan this way, otherwise, Alexa is always up to the task.
