Great trolling motor overall --
I just installed this unit in July 2022 and all functioned properly except for the SI on the left side. I contacted a servicing dealer and they ordered the needed parts, however, after six weeks the parts have still not arrived. I have used this Ulterra during the summer and it's a very impressive product. I would have given this trolling motor an excellent rating if the SI worked properly especially on the first day of use. You would think that Minnkota would have performed Quality control on this product before shipping it out to the retailer.

Initial reaction - Basic instructions very weak
It appears the quick reference guides for the remote and the motor are written by engineers who built the product. It's very difficult and frustrating for a novice to find something as simple as how to deploy the motor. Having built and worked in tech companies myself, I've seen this before. Maybe the product isn't meant for first-timers. If so, the dealer didn't mention it. I'm confident the iPilot link system, the remote, the motor, the two Humminbird graphs are amazing technology if there was a way to learn how to use them. I've tried looking at the Minn Kota videos, but they aren't loading.
