Pre-Owned Flash Gordon

Flash Gordon, the name says a lot. This is the first live action foray into the character since the 50's tv series, and before that the hand full of movie serials that thrilled kids and adults alike. The film does have a lot of cheese to it, something that Dino DiLaurentiis (sp?) is actually famous for. The cheese is what makes this movie so much fun. When there were a lot of movies that were more about serious subjects, Flash's adventures on Mongo were a welcome relief. Of course, there is also the enrgizing soundtrack/score by Queen, and that alone makes the film worthwhile. This DVD is well worth the price, the special features are well done and entertaining as well. The interview with Alex Ross was particularly interesting. Definitely worth the price.
