I really like the taste and texture of this tuna. I drain the excess olive oil off before I use it in salads or casseroles but it is far superior for me than tuna in water or vegetable oil. it does also cost a little more but there seems to be less that I drain away.and more actual tuna.

Essential Pantry Staple was told not to use but fo

My parents were vegetarians but always told me eat tuna not in oil and I am not sure why. After making friends with someone who taught me to make a tuna fried in its own oil in can dish I started to try using oil tuna for the first time in sandwiches and it is very good. I don't know why my parents gave me that advice but tuna in olive oil is definitely good and tasty and great for keto after all a mayo or vegans blend is almost all oil anyways so of course it is good and just adds flavor. I like and trust this brand try it!

Best Taste and Texture

Our family has bought albacore tuna for the past 30 years and I would say Tonnino's yellowfin has a better texture, flavor and cleaner than the big name brands you typically find on the grocery shelf. Recently(as pictured), I've craved it on a bed of red leaf butter lettuce with olives, tomatoes, peperoncini and fresh chopped basil or right out of the can or jar with no dressing wanted or needed. Delicious! This is a little more pricey but I find it worth the taste and quality. The small jars are for the foodie purist which is reflected in the price but the cans are reasonable.
