Bears can be tough on this item, but we did get it back together. The finches and chickadees love this! It is attractive, sepecially when there ar 5 or six birds on it at once. Apparrently these little birds LOVE Thistle seed!

as I had previously stated the mesh feeding screens on both sides do not fit snugly into the Groves in the side units when empty and attempting to put the top back down the sides come loose when it's empty I am sure if it was full all the niger seed would be on the ground when you went to put the top back on should be a snugger fit I will take black electrical tape and put it around the unit under where the top will need to fit back on securely but no one should have to alter anything when they get it fortunately I can see how to fix it and it should not compromise the overall appearance which once secure will look very pretty at Hanging next to another unit I have seen as I have many many American finches and purple finches that are a joy to watch
