Junk Red Crown Bottle Caps non-sealing

I've been making homemade carbonated hard cider for yrs and have never had a problem with the (yellow) crown caps holding carbonation but my last order I ordered the red crown caps and can't get any of them to hold carbonation I use the plastic Coke bottle tester to let me know the amount of CO2 carbonation being produced I let the Coke bottle get rock hard and still none or very little carbonation in my capped bottles my manual capper seems to be in perfect working order so I will be switching back to the yellow crown caps from here on out.
