I will be honest that I have doubts about the Amethysts in this ring. I don't think they are natural or lab created (both of which make a gem real). I would love to know, but the description just says "amethyst. " So I say it's possible they are simulated (which would make them fake). If the company sees this review, I'd love feedback on my ring. I'm used to buying quality jewelry from Zales and my lab created stones are heavier/clearer. These are pretty dull with no depth... So, GSK let me know, I'm very curious now... It could just be a lower quality (price) issue and they could just be lower grade natural? IDK really... I can't say, but I definitely see lower quality on that end. The silver is also heavier/more solid and better polished on my more expensive rings... but that is not a downfall to this ring, as we're talking about $60 vs. $300. So, it being lightweight in stone and silver is not a problem for me. It does feel a little bulky on the sides, so I'm very aware the ring is there, but as with all jewelry, it's only a matter of getting used to. The ring does not snag or scratch my other fingers - so that's a plus. I actually once gave my mother a $200 ring just because I hated how it scratched me lol. So I'm really picky. With that being said, it does have the 925 GSK stamp, so I know it's silver and from Gem Stone King (which has been around a very long time!). I pretty much bought this ring as "costume jewelry" for the slight occasion I wear purple... in that fashion, this is top notch for my needs. Even though it sounds like I have negative things to say, you'll see I gave it a 5 stars. I'm just a snob and like the best, so I nit-pick lol. 5 stars, as the ring is pretty, and a good value @ $60. Not only do I think it's pretty, I am sure I will purchase from GSK in the future. Oh! And I literally got it in the mail via Fed Ex in 3 days (I had free shipping, because I had a qualifying purchase total). If you're on the fence I say get it... it really is nice for the cost.
