Big part of my childhood!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was such a huge part of my childhood. I read the book over and over many times, and also looked forward with great anticipation the whole year to when the movie would be on TV. The book was not only incredibly entertaining and engaging, but it also taught valuable lessons in terms of children’s behavior, and I pondered on the character’s examples time and time again. My kids and I had fun making our own version of the lickable wallpaper from the book. One of my favorite snacks as a kid was graham crackers spread with vanilla frosting, so I thought that by adding some colorful fruit shaped Runts candies, it could evoke that delicious wallpaper from the classic book. Although Mr. Wonka did run a chocolate factory, I loved all of his imaginative candy creations!

Great Addition to a young reader's library

Roald Dahl has captured the wild and creative imaginations that young people have. A truly unselfish and caring young boy named Charlie dreams of winning the Golden ticket that will allow him to finally see the inside of the mysterious Wonka Factory. As Charlie tours the magical factory, he meets Mr. Wonka, and discovers that Mr. Wonka creates more than wonderful chocolate. Unfortunately Charlie also witnesses the consequences and actions of the other winners and their parents. The story of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' is the kind of story to capture the attention and awaken the imagination of young readers.
